EA, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics announced today that Superman Returns: The Videogame is scheduled for a summer 2006 release in conjunction with the Warner Bros. Pictures' film on June 30, 2006. The game, which features storylines from both the movie and more than 60 years of comic book content, is being developed by EA-Tiburon.

THQ has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with Gas Powered Games for its RTS game Supreme Commander. Chris Taylor is known for his work with Total Annihilation under Cave Dog, and Supreme Commander will mark his return to a genre that he helped popularize.

BFME 2 takes part in the North where a battle is raging between Sauron's forces vs. elves and dwarves. It will be possible to create/customize your own hero, apart from known figures such as Arwin, and become more powerful as you progress in the game. While BFME was all land based, the sequel will also take the action on the sea, naval battles included, courtesy of an updated engine.

AFSL Games announced today that Battle Carry is complete and will be released this coming Friday, October 7th, and will be available for download for $19.95. Battle Carry is an action oriented deathmatch game featuring high speed tanks and powerful secondary weapons. The release will feature eight maps, playable in deathmatch, team deathmatch, and objective match. It will have nine secondary weapons, and four unique tanks to use.

Numerous different game types as well as five levels of difficulty promise a high degree of long-term motivation for both beginners and pros. With a new engine, improved graphics and an extended list of features, GT LEGENDS will provide high authenticity, a detailed presentation and thrilling entertainment behind the steering wheel of an untamed racing beast. Valve's SteamPowered website has been updated with details regarding the latest update for its online delivery system Steam. This release fixes a loading error when trying to debug Source MODs using the SDK, fixes a Source Engine startup crash in Win98, and also fixes Half-Life 1: Engine name exploit causing client crash. Just restart Steam for the effects to take place.

The new game will follow the plot of the original "From Russia with Love" film, including the battle on the Orient Express and the boat chase sequence, but will expand the story with new action sequences. The development team approached the game as a director's cut of the film, which will allow the player to utilize such cool toys as the jetpack and a Q-copter as well as the trusty Walther PPK handgun.

Pro Evolution Soccer 5 will feature the utter realism, intuitive play and fast-paced action of the ever-popular series. The PSP version will also be almost identical in terms of available clubs and international sides, with 57 national sides lining up alongside 136 club teams.

Midway announced today that it has acquired UK development studio The Pitbull Syndicate Limited, now named Midway Studios - Newcastle. The studio is currently developing Midway's racing title L.A. RUSH along with additional next generation projects.
