Wargaming has released a new “Twin Islands” planet (specially designed for massive naval battles: two equal continents are separated by sea) as well as another patch for their strategy game Massive Assault bringing your retail game to v1.2.211. Atari announced today that, in addition to all-new 3-D graphics and the ability to virtually "ride the rides," RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 will allow players to design amazing fireworks displays that can be choreographed to the music of their choice. Using the new Fireworks MixMaster, players can create pyrotechnic masterpieces and synchronize them to music using pre-set in-game songs or their own MP3 files. In addition, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 will also include the ability to assign music to rides in the park, new realistic day and night cycles, a park lighting system and various weather effects.

Avalon, announced today, that three new titles are in development for PC platform. Two action-adventure games for younger players, and sci-fi FPS based on Magnum Engine fully developed by Heaven X. EA has announced that ESPN’s ‘College Football Thursday’ reporter Jill Arrington will be joining John Madden and Al Michaels on the Madden NFL sidelines. On top of that Fox Sports Radio host Tony Bruno will take care of the game’s weekly sports talk radio show, he takes calls from fans, real NFL coaches and real NFL players. Madden NFL 2005 will be in stores August 12 for the PS2, Xbox, GameCube and GBA.

'Ultima X: Odyssey' Gets Canned

GameSpy is reporting that EA has cancelled their Ultima universe based MMOG, Ultima X: Odyssey. Reason for the axing is so that EA can concentrate on current projects and a new, yet unannounced, expansion pack.
