The eagerly anticipated Global Ops Public beta/demo from EA, Crave Ent. is now available over at Fileplanet, Tiscali (good'n fast). Enter the world of specialized warfare, where you are put in 13 of the world’s hot spots like Chechnya, Sri Lanka and the South China Seas. Choose from 7 specialties (Sniper, Commando, etc…) and from over 30+ weapons and equipment to go in and accomplish your mission. Only as a team can you defeat the opposition. Command & Conquer: Generals will be the first C&C RTS title to be presented to us in full 3D, and this means both terrain and units. Vehicles and foot soldiers are going to be able to surge up hillsides to achieve tactical superiority, and run back down again if they're getting their ass kicked. From what we've learnt, the only thing to remain in old-school 2D in Command & Conquer: Generals will be the interface. This will make management of units and buildings a very straightforward affair and keep the whole operation of the game running smoothly. Just a rumour or reason to get all excited? Nintendo is giving our beloved Mario some much needed excercise ... "Mario Tennis" and Mario Golf" are in production for the Gamecube. No specific release date is given yet .. but they sure look promising so be on the look out!
