Valve and the Day of Defeat team today announced an official partnership for continued development of the World War II-based Half-Life MOD. In addition, Day of Defeat 3.0 is due to launch next week, and will mark the introduction of new missions and gameplay types, a new player class, and more. Not that this came as a surprise but Blizzard just announced that Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is now available at retailers worldwide. With initial orders of over 4.5 million copies, the release of Warcraft III represents the biggest worldwide launch in PC-gaming history. "We're really excited that people are now able to pick up a copy of Warcraft III and start playing the complete game," stated Mike Morhaime, Blizzard Entertainment president and co-founder. "We hope players will enjoy what they see, and we look forward to hearing their thoughts about the game."
