Microsoft announced the acquisition of Austin, Texas-based game developer Twisted Pixel, the creative minds behind Xbox LIVE Arcade titles  such as “Splosion Man” and the recent Kinect for Xbox 360 title, “The Gunstringer.”

The War of the Worlds is an upcoming 2D cinematic platformer inspired by the seminal work of beloved author H.G. Wells that pits players in a story of survival as a lone person trying to escape chaos and destruction amidst an alien invasion in 1950s London.

Quantum Conundrum, developed by Portal designer Kim Swift, is a multi dimensional puzzle game where you manipulate your surroundings with the Interdimensional Shift Device (a glove) in order to find your uncle, an inventor who is lost in another dimension.

Gran Turismo 5 promises 1000 vehicles, 20 tracks in 60 different layouts, custom soundtrack support, and while there is a damage model, it will be limited to certain car manufacturers.
