'Battle: Los Angeles' (ALL) Revealed

by Rainier on Feb. 21, 2011 @ 1:09 a.m. PST | Filed under News

A new listing on the Australian Classification Board reveals that Konami is working on a game called "Battle: Los Angeles," under development by Saber Interactive (known for TimeShift, currently working on Inversion). Whether this game is tied into the upcoming Battle: Los Angeles movie is uncertain, especially since the game has not even announced yet, and the movie is due in March. However an indication of "Strong violence" and the fact that Saber Interative is known for shooter/action games leans towards a movie adaptation, albeit maybe a late one.

If You Don't Stand For Something, You'll Fall For Nothing

Our relaxing weekend is over too quickly, as usual.

We saw "The Fighter" yesterday, the last of the Oscar-nominated flicks that we wanted to check out, and now that we've watched it, it's quite apparent why Christian Bale is up for best supporting actor. Good stuff all around.

In between dozing off on the couch, we also watched Blue Bloods and The Cape. The DVR almost looks respectable, apart from nearly two seasons of Criminal Minds waiting to be viewed.

Today is Presidents' Day in the US, so coverage might be slower than usual in the afternoon, but we'll see what we can dig up.

You Notice Things If You Pay Attention

Yesterday was yet another rainy and gloomy day, so we skipped the Chinese New Year parade. It's not really fun to watch while getting drenched.

Instead, we watched Kitchen Nightmares, Fringe, V and Supernatural, all nice and cozy on our couch. I'd like to think we came out ahead!

Checking up on new upcoming shows, we read that both The Event and Chuck might be coming to a close as viewership isn't good enough to keep them on the air. What's wrong with you people?! Go watch that stuff!

On the other hand, some of the new shows are equally questionable, like Prime Suspect, yet another attempt at "remaking" a British TV series. Are the executives that short-sighted that they don't remember failed British remakes such as Coupling and Life On Mars? If it's not the original, don't bother.
