Gears of War 2 picks up six months after the events of the original, thrusting players back into humankind's epic battle for survival against a nightmarish force of underground creatures known as the Locust Horde. During the Gearsiverse panel at Comic-Con, Epic's Cliff Bleszinski revealed that Locust and COG armor will be available for your avatars with the next dashboard update.

In late 2003, Ubisoft released its action/adventure Beyond Good & Evil, but unfortunately sales numbers were disappointing, and the franchise was abandoned. Since the UbiDays 08 teaser, not much has been said, apart from Ubisoft's Michel Ancel revealing that BG&E 2 will be more complex and immersive than the original. However, in a recent interview, Ubi's Laurent Detoc said that all is not certain; the decision to actually release a sequel, even though it is/was being worked on, is not definitive.
