Disney Interactive Studios announced it has agreed to acquire Chicago-based Wideload Games. As part of the agreement, industry veteran and creative visionary Alexander Seropian, Wideload Games founder and CEO, will join Disney Interactive Studios in the newly created role of vice president of creative, leading the company’s global creative efforts.

Over the weekend (August 27-30), both Star Assault and Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts are 50% off, while Mini Ninjas is expected on Sept. 11. With pre-orders you can earn bonus Blue Coins, which in turn can be used to purchase other titles. If you pre-order a game and the price drops within 30 days, you get the difference back in Blue Coins.
