'Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2' (PS3) Confirmed

Last month, Tecmo teased that it would be making a major announcement at GDC, and while that is still the case, the latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu revealed that Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for the PS3 is in development, which is now confirmed by Tecmo itself. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is an improved version of the X360's Ninja Gaiden II, featuring a new playable character (Ayane), new boss fights and weapon, currently scheduled for release fall 2009 in Japan/North America, followed by Europe.

Windstorm Studios Formed, Another Ensemble Studios Spin-off

Former Ensemble Studios programmer Dusty Monk has launched Windstorm Studios. No formal announcement has been made yet, but it was revealed that the independent studio is working on a new MMO. A big fan of titles such as Ultima Online, EverQuest, and World of Warcraft, Monk wants to create an MMO that breaks the mold of depressing postapocalyptic titles with gray streets beneath gray skies, killing gray zombies, and hints at a game with cities of glass and steel, and most importantly, flying cars. Previously, Monk has worked on such titles as Age of Empires, Halo Wars, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing and the canceled Halo MMO.
