Revealed during a rehearsal run on SpikeTV's VGA Awards, Gears of War 2 is getting a Combustible map pack (Fuel Station, Flood, and Gold Rush), available for download later tonight at 12 AM PST/3 AM EST.

Earlier this month EA announced that it would be canceling various titles for 2010, merging studios and laingy off employees due to lower than expected holiday sales. In addition to the new Vancouver, Canada facility closure we reported on a few days ago, Electric Playground claims that the Need for Speed franchise, which has seen a decline in sales and popularity in the past few years, might be the next victim and, according to unnamed sources, has been put on hold.
