After being released last week, then pulled due to freezing issues, SCEA has re-issued the firmware update, albeit now as v2.41, adding XMB access in-game which enables PS3 users to connect and communicate with other gamers seamlessly while playing games, as well as giving PS3 users the ability to earn Trophies and tout their accomplishments & skills via profiles, and compare them to other members of the community.

Metal Gear Online features characters, stages and the same control scheme as MGS 4, with additional environments, game modes and team-based multiplayer mayhem for up to 16 players. Last week we revealed Japanese gamers got a new DLC (adding new characters, 3 maps and a survival mode), but so far North American gamers will have to be content with a new patch adding the Team Sneaking mode (use stealth to infiltrate the enemy base and destroy a target within), and a Headshots Only setting (your game's rank point awards drops when NOT making headshots)

ESRB website is a new installment in the Ratchet & Clank franchise. While it does not specify whether Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty is an all-new game, a new PlayStation Network title, or merely an expansion/addon for Ratchet & Clank Future, the name has been submitted for registration and received a Everyone 10+ rating. We should know more shortly when E3 kicks off.
