Koch Media acquired Austrian games production company Games That Matter, funded in 2006 by industry veterans Hannes Seifert and Niki Laber (former Rockstar Vienna). Merging with Koch Media's premium games label, Deep Silver, it will henceforth be known as Deep Silver Vienna, concentrating on high quality games, especially for consoles.

EA unveiled plans for a new feature called Be A Pro: Online Team Play that will enable 10 people anywhere in the world to connect online to play a single match of FIFA Soccer 08. The new feature, available for the X360 and PS3, and will be offered as a free download 6-8 weeks after the game's launch.
