Sony Europe announced that on May 8th, 2007, its PlayStation Network will be temporarily going down for approximately 3 hours, from 17h to 20h, for maintenance. People who are actively playing games at that time will be able to proceed, but connecting between 17h and 20h will not be possible.

Project WITCHES is a 3rd person tactical combat game designed to exploit the capabilities of new generation consoles. In an interview with eWeek, Microsoft's Entertainment and Devices Division President Robbie Bach predicted that the Xbox will become profitable during the course of 2008, "It's a business that will be profitable next year—we'll make money next year and that will be the first time, which is pretty exciting."
