Vanguard: Saga of Heroes is an MMORPG with a vast, seamless, immersive virtual world filled with elements of familiar High Fantasy, including traditional themes and more, all depicted using cutting-edge graphics technology. SOE and Sigil Games Online announced that Vanguard: Saga of Heroes will launch worldwide on Jan. 30, 2007.

Iron Realms Entertainment announced its first 3D MMORPG today: Earth Eternal, a high-fantasy world that combines real-world history, legend, and myth with original creations. Earth Eternal will be free to play, no mandatory subscription, pay only when you feel the game is worth contributing to.

In-game advertisement pioneers Massive, acquired by Microsoft in May 2006, lost two of its founding fathers CEO Mitch Davis, and president of new media, Nichola Longano have resigned and will leave end of this month. While no specific reason for the departure was given Davis stated that Pursuing entrepreneurial start-ups has always been his passion, and that Massive is currently well positioned in the in-game advertising industry. Wild Hare Entertainment has announced an agreement with Merscom to publish a retail version of Rag Doll Kung Fu in North America. In Rag Doll Kung Fu you control your string puppets characters on screen with the mouse, create your own style, act out whatever you feel like, and of course, if you really feel like it, you can have a fight.

Codemasters Online Gaming are thrilled to announce that it’s popular MMORPG ArchLord has gone from strength to strength doubling it’s players base in little more than 2 weeks thanks to the recent move to free to play / no monthly subscription.

Originally known in Japan as Sengoku Musou Wave, KOEI confirmed that its Wii exclusive sword fighting title has been renamed to Sengoku Musou Slash, and will be coming to North America as Samurai Slash, somewhere later this year. Apart from briefly mentioned during Nintendo's E3 press conference, and then later during TGS 06, no other information is available. Now that the title has been pinned down, KOEI promises more details shortly.
