Electronic Arts let us know that a single player PC demo of their upcoming first person shooter James Bond 007: Nightfire will be released next Wednesday, October 30. The demo will contain a Japanese Estate level, which finds Bond trying to defend the turncoat Mayhew from the evil Raphael Drake's Japanese henchmen.

Ubi Soft today released a 5.7MB big patch that updates Red Storm's tactical shooter, Ghost Recon, to version 1.4. Here is some info about this patch:
- You must have Island Thunder or GR patch 1.3 with Ghost Recon installed first.
- Players will be REQUIRED to use the GR CD after installing the patch. Previous versions of Ghost Recon will no longer be compatible with version 1.4.

Interplay and the Games division of Vivendi Universal Publishing announced today Hunter: The Reckoning has gone gold. The GameCube title is scheduled to ship in mid-November. Developed by High Voltage Software, Hunter: The Reckoning is an action game based on the characters and fiction found in the popular role-playing game Hunter: The Reckoning and the immersive World of Darkness created by White Wolf Publishing Inc.

CDV today got some updates on their sites with screens and etc. Following news for today is:
- New Blitzkrieg shots! These new screens show Soviet airborne troops reinforcing an attack on a German field depot led by T-34’s, and a SU-85 and other memorable moments of WWII.

CDV Software Entertainment UK has today revised the release dates for two of its hotly-tipped PC CD-ROM titles in order to add some crucial features and ensure the finished titles devastate the competition. Hungarian developer Mithis Games has joined CDV and Philos Labs to work on space strategy title Imperium Galactica III. Originally planned for release at the end of 2002, the extra development time will allow the team to add a new multiplayer mode - extending the shelf life of this already colossal game.
