Novalogic is secretly working on a series of titles based on the CBS drama The Unit, which in turn is based on Eric Haney's novel Inside Delta Force. The Unit: Operation Acid Gambit will be the first title according to sources inside the development team, and will make use of an all-new engine, as well as new animation software. An official announcement will be made later this year, but the premise of the game is that your mission will be to fix the mistakes Delta Force has made, and change history.

The VenturaCountyStar is reporting that per day the Business Software Alliance (BSA) investigates about 700 companies suspected of using unlicensed software. Wednesday the BSA announced it had fined five L.A.-area businesses more than $500,000 for using software for which they did not have licenses, one of those businesses was Delta Force developer NovaLogic Inc (thanks Team AWG).

NovaLogic today announced the introduction of ‘Boot Camp’ stat based games on their NovaWorld game servers to further increase the playability of Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising and the expansion pack Joint Ops: Escalation for new gamers to the franchise. Similar to ‘Newbie’ zones in MMORPG’s, ‘Boot Camp’ games will allow new players to gain experience and get familiar with the way the game is played, without being easy targets for more experienced players.

The coming weeks will see the wheat separated from the chaff, the big dogs from the puppies and the Rulerz from the N00bs with the imminent launch of the Joint Ops STAT tracking system for both Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising and Joint Ops: Escalation.

Commencing October 21st, owners of Joint Operations will be able to download versions of classic Joint Ops maps that are optimized for 5 v 5 player squad engagements. The first map to be released is 'Kutu Arms Market' and will be available via NovaLogic's own NovaXchange Map exchange system. Log into NovaWorld.com and click on the 'Xchange" tab at the top of the screen to download this new map, as well as access over 200 user created Joint Ops maps. NovaLogic will be adding more Squad optimized content for download over the coming weeks.

Entertainment software developer and publisher NovaLogic, Inc. and Vivendi today announced an exclusive multi-year strategic agreement, under which VU Games will become the sole distributor of NovaLogic products in North America. NovaLogic will continue to oversee development, production, marketing and PR for its products.

Entertainment software publisher NovaLogic Ltd. today announced that they are looking forward to their busiest ever Q1 in 2003 with the release of three PC titles, Delta Force - Black Hawk Down, Highland Warriors and Devastation... Delta Force - Black Hawk Down will ship on February 28th, 2003, Highland Warriors on March 21st, 2003 and Devastation on March 21st, 2003.

The company also announced that a single and multiplayer demo for Delta Force - Black Hawk Down would be available at the beginning of February. More details about the demo will be released shortly.

Entertainment software publisher NovaLogic Ltd. today announced it had signed the UK distribution rights to HD Interactive's cyber thriller Devastation for the PC. NovaLogic Ltd. and Ubi Soft Entertainment today confirmed the success of the Delta Force 2 & Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Rogue Spear double pack that has been flying off UK retailers shelves since its March 2002 launch.
