Gears of War 3 plunges players into a harrowing tale of hope, survival, and brotherhood that concludes the current story arc for Gears of War.

SouthPeak Interactive announced it has lined up a range of titles for digital release on the Xbox LIVE online entertainment network Games on Demand service in North America.

Games on Demand for Windows will soon be the home of day-and-date game releases from the industry’s biggest names, including 2K Games, Capcom, Microsoft Game Studios, Rockstar Games, and THQ, starting with Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.

On Dec. 15, Games for Windows Live will include a portal for accessing and downloading your favorite Live-enabled titles. Games on Demand for Windows lets you purchase and download titles from the Games for Windows Live library, and re-install you games whenever you want, wherever you want.

As part of last August's dashboard update, Microsoft added the Games on Demand feature, allowing you to download full X360 games instead of having to purchase physical copies. In Oct. Microsoft is expanding the downloadable portfolio with Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Grand Theft Auto IV, Army of Two, Dead Space and several others.

Later this summer, Microsoft plans to roll out a major dashboard update for its Xbox 360, improving aspects such as the Netflix streaming video experience, video display options, but also adding new items like premium avatar clothing (with a marketplace), user ratings, and Games on Demand (in August).

Microsoft also announced Twitter for the X360 and Xbox Live Party for movies, which allows movie experiences to be shared on the couch or across the country over Xbox Live. Future updates will include Games on Demand, unlockable in-game Avatar Awardables, user ratings, and a continuation of XBLA games over the summer.

Exent Technologies has secured an agreement to increase the library of Ubisoft titles available for Exent-powered Games-On-Demand services in North America, adding franchises such as Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six, Prince of Persia, Far Cry, Rayman and Heroes of Might and Magic.
