WarBirds 2004 adds improved graphics (3D cockpits for B17 and B24), new aircraft (the Japanese Mitsubishi J2M2 and J2M3) and a lot of tweaks, such as a better balanced Ki44 (this formerly deactivated aircraft is now available to all players). The J2M2, conceived as an interceptor, was first used in 1942. Due to technical and production problems only 500 J2M2’s were built. In WarBirds 2004, the fast J2M2 with its superior weaponary is the dream of veteran pilots, while its flight model is very challenging.

iEntertainment Network (IENT) announced today the posting of a terrific new movie on the award winning TotalSims product, WarBirds III. The new release, “Tribute to Preddy”, includes many of the new features of the current WarBirds III version. This Movie has excellent visuals of actual online flying including P-51 Mustangs, FW-190s, and B-17 Bombers. It also has a great sound track and is a stirring tribute to the life of Lt. The WarBirds team will launch the official download of the PTO theater on Wednesday, 2 April. This is the fruit of their last three months of labor, and will include a new PTO terrain, five new aircraft (and variants), two new ground vehicles, a few new or improved cockpits for existing aircraft, and a new strategic resupply system in addition to many bug fixes and other improvements.. Though the update becomes official on Wednesday, they will upload it to some mirror sites earlier in the week to give everyone a chance to grab the download prior to release.
