Activision today announced that the company has retained legendary comic book writer Stan Lee as a consultant for the development of future video games based on Marvel characters. Lee will work closely with Activision's studio divisions during the production process and consult on game design, as well as story and character development. Lee, who invented the modern Super Hero when he introduced such popular comic book characters as Spider-Man, the Uncanny X-Men and Fantastic Four, will bring a rare combination of expert character creation and storytelling knowledge to Activision's Marvel- themed video games.

A few days ago the official Chrome website
www.chromethegame.com got a new design. The website has a new, lighter, and more appealing layout. They also added new sections dedicated to player’s clans, Chrometeam, and game’s editor ChromeEd. While creating the website, they also took into consideration players with slower internet connection.

Logitech today announced that Xbox gamers can now step up the action with two new quality controllers. Announced earlier this year at the E3 trade show in Los Angeles, the Logitech Precision Controller and Logitech Thunderpad are now available online at www.logitech.com and retail outlets in the U.S. for U.S. $24.99 and U.S. $19.99, respectively. Logitech today announced that it has sold more than one million force feedback wheels worldwide since the original Logitech Formula Force GP rolled off the production line in September 1998. Logitech has now brought to market eight force feedback-enabled wheels across the PC, PlayStation2 and Nintendo GameCube gaming platforms, and was the first company to introduce a force feedback wheel for any console.

Dutch publisher Project Three Interactive today announced that its development studio Termite Games has changed its name to Project Three Interactive Studios AB and is now fully integrated in the Project Three Group. The Swedish outfit became known for its revolutionary new game-engine known as DVA, which was used for the development of the tactical FPS game “NEW WORLD ORDER” for PC, released during winter 2002/spring 2003. Termite kept updating the game and has concluded its work by delivering the very stable and smooth version 1.42 last month (on sale in the UK, France and Germany by the end of August distributed by Bigben Interactive).
