The July issue of PC Gamer has the first details on American McGee's next project. An action/adventure spread over 24 episodes, American McGee's Grimm Tales, developed by his own studio Spicy Horse, will hopefully wash the bad taste of Bad Day L.A. and Scrapland out of our mouths and give us another taste of the twisted mind we got to ejoy in American McGee's Alice. Scheduled for early 2008, Grimm Tales will revisit various fairy tales we all know from our youth, and American McGee has once again teamed up with R.J. Berg, executive Producer and head writer on Alice.

Sony's Q4 2007 financial results reveal the gaming division has lost $1.9 billion, mainly due to the below-production cost sale of the PS3, as well as declining PS2 hard/software sales. So far Sony has shipped, not sold, 13 million PS3 units, and a whopping 193 million PS2s. Sony expects a turnaround next fiscal year, as it is reorganizing and taking steps to cut production costs for the PS3.

Vivendi Games’ revenues spiked 117.2% compared to last year, primarily driven by the successful launch of Blizzard's first World of Warcraft expansion pack The Burning Crusade. Last year it was already revealed that Guilty Gear XX Accent Core was making its way from the arcades to the PS2, but according to Japanese magazine Famitsu it is now also coming to the Wii. Using both the Nunchuk/Wiimote and the original controller for combos, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core is currently only scheduled for release in Asia July 26, 2007.

THQ reported its net sales increased 27% to a record $1billion, driven by titles like STALKER, Cars, Supreme Commander, and WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2007. In the subsequent conference call, THQ executives revealed that the previously announced Saints Row PS3 port was canceled in favor of launching a full-on sequel on X360 and PS3 simultaneously, while Kaos Studios' Frontlines: Fuel of War was pushed back from holiday season 2007, to January 2008.
