The latest issue of Famitsu reveals that Nintendo is working on a new Donkey Kong title for the Wii. Slated for release in Japan on June 28, Donkey Kong Jet Race will feature 16 tracks, and a four-player multiplayer mode, although it was not disclosed if this would be on- or offline play.

Ghost Rider co-creator Gary Friedrich filed a 61-page complaint in federal court claiming 21 violations based on the production and marketing of Sony's recent "Ghost Rider." Friedrich claims the Ghost Rider copyrights reverted from Marvel to him in 2001, and accuses Sony, Marvel and Take Two of a "conspiracy to exploit, profit from and utilize" his copyrights to the comic book character.

While Guitar Hero 2 has been out on the PS2 for several months, Xbox 360 owners have only had the pleasure for a few days. The ESRB has been the revealing source of various titles coming to the Xbox Live Arcade, and today a listing was spotted for id Software's multiplayer sci-fi shooter Quake III: Team Arena. If the listing is true, the Xbox Live Arcade version is being ported to the Xbox 360 by Texas-based Pi Studios, known for various Activision titles (Call of Duty) and currently working on the Halo 2 Vista Editor as well as porting Pandemic's Mercenaries 2 to the PS2.

Last month EA revealed plans to make an equity investment in Korea-based online gaming company, Neowiz Corporation, and now the world's biggest publisher plans to go even further and reached an agreement with The9 Ltd. to buy a 19 percent stake in the Chinese online game operator for about $200 million.

For the fourth time, Nintendo raised its sales and profit forecast for the business year that ended March 31, mainly thanks to high demand for its DS titles, as well as the Wii console. Sales were up 7% ($8.1 billion) compared to last year, beating analysts' expected 3% increase. In the past business year, eight of the 10 best-selling games in Japan were DS titles. In February, Nintendo sold more than twice as many Wii's in Japan and the U.S. than Sony's PS3. Stock prices rose 2%, nearly doubling in value over the last 12 months.
