Sony Computer Entertainment Korea's
website has confirmation of earlier rumors that the PS3 might be getting a bigger harddrive. An FCC filing back in March revealed that Sony was working on an 80GB version, including some tweaks to the Bluetooth feature. SCEK's website has the new version going on sale next month, June 16, for an estimated price of $ 557 / EUR 412. While the North American offices are still closed, Sony Europe said there are no release plans other than Korea.

A financial analysis document from Nollenberger Capital Partners reveals that EA might already be working on The Godfather 2. "Interestingly, we learned that EA is leveraging the significant amount of development time and costs that went into The Godfather game. The open-world engine was built from the ground up for Godfather, and is now being used by five different franchises, including The Simpsons. Godfather 2 is also in development currently, though timing is unknown."

An action/adventure spread over 24 episodes, American McGee's Grimm Tales, developed by his own studio Spicy Horse, will hopefully wash the bad taste of Bad Day L.A. and Scrapland out of our mouths and give us another taste of the twisted mind we got to ejoy in American McGee's Alice. Sony's Q4 2007 financial results reveal the gaming division has lost $1.9 billion, mainly due to the below-production cost sale of the PS3, as well as declining PS2 hard/software sales. So far Sony has shipped, not sold, 13 million PS3 units, and a whopping 193 million PS2s. Sony expects a turnaround next fiscal year, as it is reorganizing and taking steps to cut production costs for the PS3.
