Xpand Rally races take place in different parts of the world, the player gets to race in different environments – from deserts to polar snows. This gives him opportunity to experience cars’ physics changing in different weather and on different surfaces (gravel, sand, snow, ice and asphalt). Terrains in Xpand Rally are created on Chrome Engine. This enabled the XR team to create realistic and abundant in flora terrains of a few dozens of square kilometers. It will give the players a completely different feeling from driving in a narrow gutter known from most racing games... Some new shots below!

Last week Infogrames announced that its hugely successful V-Rally brand was speeding onto the Xbox in April 2003. Following on from the unprecedented success of the PlayStation 2 version, V-Rally 3 on Xbox will be the definitive version of this great racer and leave other rally games trailing in its dust. Based on the Michelin Race of Champions, which is held annually in the Canary Islands, the game lets players take on the top racers from the world of motorsport with the ultimate goal of becoming the "Champion of Champions." Developed by Climax, Rally Fusion: Race of Champions for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system and Xbox video game system from Microsoft has been rated "E" (Everyone) by the ESRB and has a suggested retail price of $49.99.

TVG let us know that after heated rumours the publisher officially cancels the GameCube version of Rally Fusion: Race of Champions. "Rally Fusion: Race of Champions will not be appearing on the Nintendo GameCube platform as originally planned," said an Activision spokesperson. "Due to unforeseen problems in development, the release date has slipped beyond the Christmas period and we are no longer able to schedule its expected completion date. As a result, the decision has been taken not to precede any further with the project."

Codemasters confirmed today that its highly anticipated racing title Colin McRae Rally 3 will ship in February 2003 for the PlayStation2, while the Xbox version will ship on December 10, 2002. Codemasters has decided to delay the game in order to optimize the graphics and gameplay for the platform, ensuring that consumers receive the highest quality product.
