Whiptail Interactive announced today that it will publish Restricted Area in North America. Developed by Master Creating, Restricted Area recently shipped in Germany where it enjoyed a warm reception from both press and consumers alike; being nominated in five categories for the 2004 German Developer Awards, including Best PC Game, Best Game Characters, and Best Story/Gameworld. The action RPG title will ship in the US late in the first quarter of 2005 for the PC.

Namco has revealed that it is working on a sequel to its recently released Katamari Damacy. In an investor report on its official website Katamari Damacy 2 was listed as "in development/coming" title, even with a tentative 2005 release date. No additional information was disclosed, but with the cat out of the bag, we could expect an official announcement in the near future.

Eidos released its financial statement for the current year in which it is revealed that they are already working on a sequel to Shellshock. The statement reads, "ShellShock: Nam '67 (launched in September), has proved to be a successful new franchise with shipments to date of circa 800,000 units, and with strong sell through, which exceeds our original forecasts.
