For the first time, the Blizzard site features new screenshots showing the World Editor for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos. This editor can be used to create your own maps, campaigns, and more!

For the initial shipment only, 'Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos' will be available in four different limited-edition box covers. Painted by Blizzard artists, each box features a different battle-hardened warrior from each of Warcraft III's four mighty races. Other than the cover, the contents of each box are identical. At the opening of the 2002 E3 Expo, Blizzard Entertainment will unveil the highly anticipated Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos single-player campaign.

At the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Blizzard Entertainment will unveil design enhancements for World of Warcraft, its massively multiplayer online role-playing game set in the rich fiction of the Warcraft universe.

Blizzard tossed up the official system requirements for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and they are listed on their official site, there is also a new Night Elf wallpaper available for download!

On the Warcraft III General Discussion Forum there is an beta update posted by Rob Pardo from Blizzard (thanks Blues).

We are nearing the final phase of the beta currently. Internally we are debugging the code, optimizing the game engine and making performance improvements, while also working on the single player campaigns. Within the beta, we are now going to focus on the balance of the game more then ever. It may be helpful to you testers to know the kinds of changes we will make or wont make from this point forward.. If it were not for the fact that these WarCraft III screens look so damn nice i would no bother to post them because Blizzard is REALLY going for the overkill. Releasing a few screens ever damn day, just give us the god damn game instead!

Farseers are ancient Orcs who represent the pinnacle of Shamanistic power. These powerful Shamans are counted amongst Thrall's closest advisers and are constantly in tune with the workings and maneuverings of the Horde. Farseers are not only tied to the elements of the earth and sky, but are also adept at foretelling the future. The Earthquake ability makes the ground tremble and break, causing heavy damage to buildings and slowing units within the area of effect.
