beta sign-ups begin today for EverQuest II, the next-generation massively multiplayer online (MMO) game from Sony Online Ent. Inc. (SOE). Thousands of players are expected to apply in order to test the game beginning this June. EverQuest II will be available at retail in North America after the Beta program is complete later in the year.

The map editor (requires your game to be v1.18) will allow you to create your own multi-player maps to give to your friends or pass around and play online or over a network with.
