Golemlabs has announced that its global geopolitical simulation game SuperPower 2 has gone gold. As with SuperPower, players control entire countries in 3 major areas: political, economic and military, but this time, it’s in a beautiful real-time 3D environment. Although no specific release date has been announced yet, our Dreamcatcher sources indicated it is shipping next week.

Creative Assembly's Richie Skinner has posted a comment in the official R:TW forums about an upcoming patch addressing an issue people have been experiencing with the Rome Total War multiplayer mode. "Hello everyone. We are aware of the concerns raised over the multiplayer issues as we've been reading your feedback that has been posted to this forum. There will be an official statement about a patch in the near future. Please bear with us as the game has not yet been released in all regions and we need to assess the situation fully to get a clear understanding what issues need to / can be addressed." Developer Intelligent Systems, who brought us the original Paper Mario on the N64, is back to make the sequel Paper Mario 2 for GameCube. Mario and the other characters are 2D, but they move in a fully 3D world. The result is a game like no other, a full-bodied adventure with a whimsical look and feel and all those great touches you've come to expect.

Silver Style Entertainment signed a co-publishing agreement with Deep Silver for the territories Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The release of The Fall in the named territories will be in the middle of November. Silver Style also announces that they have selected the band Darkseed as their partner for the music creation of their apocalyptic role-playing game 'The Fall: Last Days Of Gaia.'

UK trade magazine MCV has got an interesting article regarding former Acclaim UK studios Cheltenham and Manchester being picked up by Rod Cousens, former global boss of the collapsed US giant, and LA-based Europlay Capital Advisers. Apparently four games have been signed already (Interview With A Made Man and Heist and back-catalogue and IP) and also some Acclaim US assets are being looked at. A new name for the company will be announced shortly. The exact fate of the eagerly anticipated racing game "Juiced" has not been determined yet (thanks VE3D).

Gamespot got word from Vivendi regarding an upcoming demo for 2015's Vietnam-based FPS, Men of Valor. On Friday, Vivendi will release a multiplayer demo featuring a large urban environment and a small jungle environment from the full game. The MP demo will sport three game types: deathmatch, team deathmatch, and multiplayer mission. Players will be also able to select from three multiplayer classes: rifleman, machinegunner, and sniper.
