Thanks for Michiel from TAFN for sending us a note about the previously released Commandps 3 demo that supposebly came from a "Spanish" magazine. Eidos has this to say about it "It’s simply an unfinished demo. The one that is out there was not properly tested and was released pre-maturely. We’re working on a proper demo as well as the final game and both are far better than the demo presents. We’re unsure as to when the final demo will be ready as we are very focused on finishing the full version in a timely manor." Guess we'll have to wait and see, but in the meantime you can still download the old demo ...

Strategy First and Monte Cristo also announced that Micro Commandos has shipped to retail stores nationwide today.

Eidos Interactive announced that the PlayStation2 version of Commandos 2: Men of Courage has gone gold to begin manufacturing by Sony Computer Entertainment America and will be in stores August 30th, 2002. Commandos 2: Men of Courage is a port of the popular PC team-based strategy game set during World War II. The Xbox version will follow shortly!

We already knew this was coming but today Eidos Interactive announces the latest instalment in the multi-million selling Commandos franchise, "Commandos 3". Currently being developed by Pyro Studios, the game will be released in Summer 2003 on PC.

Since its turning out to be a slow morning i decided to throw up some new packshots for Eidos's "Commandos 2: Men of Courage" and THQ's "MX 2002" ... both should hit UK retail stores soon (if they havent yet)

Gamespy lets us know that Eidos Interactive, one of the world’s leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, today announced that Commandos 2: Men of Courage is under development for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft. The game is being developed by Pyro Studios, Spain (the original Commandos 1&2 developers).

Commandos 2 has now officially gone gold! The CD Disks have been made, and everything has now been sent to Eidos Interactive. The game will be avaible on store shelves in the next 2-3 weeks in most parts of the world. The game is on 3 CD Disks. Get more Commandos 2 info here!
