Hip Games today announced that they have signed horror icon Tom Savini to appear in the previously unnamed City of the Dead video game. Developed by Kuju Entertainment and set in the George A. Romero universe, City of the Dead will be released on the PS2, Xbox and PC in spring 2006.

Bethesda today announced plans to release a sequel to its Pirates of the Caribbean game based on Walt Disney film, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. EA announced today that NBA All-Star Dwyane Wade will serve as cover athlete and spokesman for NBA LIVE 06, scheduled for release this fall under the EA SPORTS brand. With only a few more days to go until the official unveiling of Microsoft's next-gen console, the web has been flooded with news, photos, predictions, and other rumors. One of the possible launch titles will most likely be Project Gotham Racing 3. Without any explanation, developer Bizzare Creations, responsible for PGR 1 & 2, has updated
its website displaying a a big red 3, indicating that the third part of Microsoft's popular racing franchise may very well be on its way. Last week, a Microsoft product manager did confirm that they were working on several launch titles, one of them being a popular racing game.
