The newest PSM issue reveals the first details about Activision's latest Spider-Man game. Several big changes over the previous Spider-Man 2 title have been made. First off, the game graphics will be more true to the actual comic book style, referred to as 3D comic inking, and include cinematics via a "comic panel" presentation. Ultimate Spider-Man will have a less expansive game world, but Treyarch made up for that by increasing the detail of the environment, adding a "threat assessment" feature which forces you to prioritize tasks, added more mission variety and a new combat system, and allows you to play as Spidey and Venom. The game story is written by comic book author Brian Michael and picks up after issue #39.

EA today announced the latest installment in the widely successful James Bond videogame franchise, From Russia With Love, starring Academy Award-winner, Sir Sean Connery. Groove Games has announced today that Digital Extremes’ highly anticipated first-person shooter, Pariah, has gone gold and has begun manufacturing. Eidos announces that Championship Manager 5 will be released on Xbox and PlayStation 2 on 13th May 2005. Championship Manager 5 features 25 playable national leagues with 59 divisions and a massive database of footballers from around the world.

Today Ubisoft announced that it is developing Prince of Persia 3 (working title) for the PS2, the Xbox, GameCube and the PC. Scheduled for release in the second half of 2005, Prince of Persia 3 is the third volume in the award-winning Prince of Persia franchise.

Midway announced today that Area 51, the story-driven, first-person action thriller, has shipped to retail outlets nationwide for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Area 51 will also be available for PC and is scheduled to ship on May 23, 2005.

Tomorrow Halo 2 fans with Xbox Live access will be able to get a sneak peek at the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack. The multiplayer expansion pack contains nine new multiplayer maps to push gamers' skills to their limits. A French magazine cover reveals that Activision is not only working on a Call of Duty sequel for the PC, but is also working on a sequel to last years Call of Duty: Finest Hour. Playmag's cover shows that Call of Duty 2: The Big Red One will be set during World War 2, has a tentative holiday season release date (thanks NoFrag). Previously Activision mentioned it would be showing "two" new Call of Duty products, so besides the CoD2 for PC, this may be the second one.

THQ has issued a statement regarding problems gamers may encounter when trying to access the Xbox Live part of the game. "It has come to our attention that, due to a manufacturing error at the disc replication facility, gamers may experience problems utilizing the online feature in WrestleMania 21. We are currently working to issue an auto update that will be available for download on Xbox Live as quickly as possible.
