In Tux Racer, players race as one of four arctic characters (including the popular Linux Mascot, Tux the Penguin) through eighteen thrilling downhill courses, while collecting herring and performing tricks along the way. Enter cups and compete to win the title! Tux Racer includes a variety of options for gameplay, including the ability to race courses for time, against computer opponents and even your friends in fog, snow, and high winds.

Activision, Inc. has today announced that it will be bringing its high-octane rally racer, Race of Champions, to the Nintendo GameCube this fall. Based on the prestigious Michelin Race of Champions, which is held annually in the Canary Islands, the game lets players experience the raw fun and exhilaration of the sport as they lock wits and fenders with some of the top drivers from the world of racing. Race of Champions has not yet been rated by the ESRB/ELSPA.

LucasArts has released the official PS2 trailer "5.6 Mb" for Star Wars Racer Revenge and the good news is that it looks as if we're in for a visceral combination of high danger and brutal Pod-bound violence packed with special effects. Much of the game's content is revealed here, including an interesting glimpse at some extremely varied tracks, a lot of interaction between Pods and a very brief look at the oddly monikered (not to mention bizarre-looking) pilots that you'll soon be able to get to grips with. The game's not due until the second quarter of this year, but this is definitely a worthwhile download to get your appetite fully whetted.

Set in the future, Cubix - Robots For Everyone takes place in Bubble Town where robots are a part of everyday life. The animated series follows the adventures of a boy named Connor and his robot pal, Cubix, along with a cast of both human and robot friends. They embark on numerous adventures as they attempt to repair damaged robots and ward off their evil nemesis, Dr. K.

Leading interactive games publisher, Infogrames, has announced that it's driving the hugely successful V-Rally brand out of the garage and onto PlayStation 2 in June 2002; and with 4 million units already sold in the series, it's a welcome return for one of the most realistic rally games yet seen.

Pet Racer introduces a crazy Pet Racing Championship, which takes place in different parts of the Earth and Moon. The player chooses his pet and leads it to victory to assert its position of the fastest pet on the Earth. Techland designed over 30 racing tracks, placed in 5 different sceneries, such as: forest, jungle, arctic, desert and moon. To demonstrate the game's authenticity, Codemasters has released seven "compare and contrast" images. All the images feature the actual in-game car and track models, next to photography of their real life counterparts.

Inspired by the hit Star Wars Racer, Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences' Console Racing Game of the Year in 2000, Star Wars Racer Revenge dares players to take control of sleek and blindingly fast Podracers in a series of electrifying and perilous races throughout the Star Wars galaxy.
