Yesterday, the first victim of the newly enforced E3 dress code was asked to leave the convention. Although not affiliated with any game, booth or company, a lady dressed up as Wonder Woman was taken aside by security and asked to cover up and wear something else. Since the woman was just an attendee and did not bring any other attire, she was escorted off the premises. The E3 organization changed the dress code this year, and although it was lauded as "no more booth babes," the official stance is merely a strict banning of bikini outfits.

Funcom signed a development and marketing agreement with Microsoft to optimize the forthcoming Online Action RPG Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures for the Windows Vista operating system. An impressive Gears of War demonstration kicked off the Microsoft E3 briefing, which was followed by Peer Moore formally announcing Fable 2, Forza 2, as well as Tecmo's Dead or Alive Xtreme 2. Alan Wake is now being published by Microsoft and will be PC/X360 exclusive. Crysis is not Vista exclusive but will also work on XP. Live Anywhere is an Xbox Live Marketplace clone for PC, including GamerTag features. ShadowRun is unveiled, as well as Halo 3 trailer, both scheduled for 2007.

BFME 2 takes part in the North where a battle is raging between Sauron's forces vs. elves and dwarves. It will be possible to create/customize your own hero, apart from known figures such as Arwin, and become more powerful as you progress in the game. While BFME was all land based, the sequel will also take the action on the sea, naval battles included.

Originally announced on PC, current, and next-gen platforms, Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Vegas seems to be slimming down. A more
recent statement only mentioned next-gen, and when Ubisoft revealed its
E3 lineup earlier this week no versions except PS3 and X360 were listed. A Ubisoft spokes person commented that the Montreal team is currently focussing on those two platforms only, thus in effect cancelling the PS2 and Xbox versions of Tom Clancy's latest tactical shooter.

HD Publishing today announced that the RTS title Joint Task Force, distributed by Vivendi Games, will hit the streets Fall 2006. New entertainment venture Supersonic Group, headed up by director Mark Maitland, has emerged to release new video games and films worldwide. Currently 17 Films and 6 video games have been acquired, with the first film ‘Weapons of Mass Deception’ set for release in September and a yet to be announced Xbox/PC product scheduled at the same time.

Mid April Vivendi announced it had hired former Ubisoft COO Tremblay, but now it seems that this may not go into effect anytime soon. During his Ubisoft days Tremblay was a strong supporter of its one-year non-compete clause barring employees to jump ship to another developer/publisher. Now its seems Tremblay is
