According to Parks Associates, PC in-game advertising will increase from $80 million in 2005 to more than $400 million in 2009. In 2005, U.S. Internet gamer households received about $0.10 worth of advertisement-supported gaming content on a monthly basis, compared to $50 worth of TV content.

As typical with any new game platform launch, gamers across North America created and took part in activities in celebration of the N-Gage mobile game deck's October 7 on-sale date. Flash mobs were seen yesterday in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, and a mysterious N-Gage crop circle was discovered in Minnesota. Elite Interactive integrated haptic (force feedback) technology in the new X-Calibur and Katana controllers, its first gamepads to include force feedback capabilities for the Xbox and the PlayStation 2, respectively.
