In Crysis, shooter fans will face a new kind of gameplay challenge requiring adaptive tactics and customization of weapons and armor in dynamic, hostile environments as mankind struggles to survive in the face of a horrific alien invasion. While Crytek's Cevat Yerli recently confirmed Crysis would be PC only,
this job listing indicates that the German developer is actively looking for PS3 programmers. Whether this means Crysis is in the works for next-gen consoles, or is an indication of an all-new project is not certain at this point.

Take Two Germany has confirmed that Frog City Software's controversial drug-running action game Snow has been cancelled. In Snow, you play a street thug working your way up the drug smuggling chain to become a kingpin, taking out enemies left and right as you make your way across the border with your "goods." We hope to get confirmation from Take Two North America after the holiday weekend.

While not yet officially announced for North America, Genki is working on a new installment in the long running Tokyo Xtreme Racer franchise, scheduled for July 2007 in Japan, under the Shutokou Battle X name. The first next gen title in the series will feature extensive car-customization capabilities, 2 player head to head racing and, true to the nature of the game, plenty of drifting.

Back in October of last year it was revealed that Peter Jackson signed on as executive producer for Halo: The Movie, and the project was tentatively scheduled for summer 2007. That date now seems to be premature as
IMDb has updated its movie listing reflecting Master Chief's silver screen debut has been postponed until 2008. While a simultaneous launch of both the movie and Halo 3 would be beneficial for both parties, Bungie always claimed the two are not connected in terms of release date, so this does not automatically mean that Halo 3 is delayed as well.
