revealed that it has received a multimillion dollar offer from a North American publisher to bring Gothic III to the Xbox. No specifications were given, nor did Dr. Siedl clarify whether it was for the current and next gen platform, but given the technical requirements, it is doubtful the current gen Xbox could handle it, so the X360 platform seems much more likely.

A few days ago a countdown clock on
the official Rainbow Six website indicated Ubisoft would be making a major announcement regarding the franchise. Since the clock started at 360 hours, it was generally assumed Rainbow Six would be making an appearance on the Xbox 360. While no additional information is available yet, the latest April issue of EGM indeed confirms Ubisoft's tactical shooter is going next gen, and it will be called Rainbow Six: Vegas. More details are coming Monday when the clock hits zero.

Lionhead's community manager Sam van Tilburgh
revealed today that at a company meeting Lionhead decided to lay off about 100 people. After somewhat low sales numbers for The Movies, Activision backing out of the console version, Lionhead is scaling back from 3 to 2 developments teams as certain projects wrapped up.
