Half Life 2: Aftermath will pick up where the original left off and, as has been rumored for a while, will feature an all-new story line with the focus on Alyx, although not necessarily alongside Gordon Freeman. While no release date has been set, strong indications are that it may only be available through Valve's online delivery system, Steam.

In a reply to a
forum members' modding question, Vivendi's Community Manager Greg revealed that the F.E.A.R. v1.03 patch is coming soon. "Apparently this problem is caused by the OP is running into a bug that’s fixed in v1.03. The new patch will be out soon." Back in December Vivendi revealed that it would include Even Balance's anti-cheat protection, Punkbuster, in the new patch, a much requested feature by the community.

This v1.0.5 beta 2 patch fixes an issue where screenshots were turning out completely black, and an issue for server admins where running multiple instances of the dedicated server was not utilizing multiple CPUs effectively.
