Konami Digital Entertainment - America and Vivendi Universal Games, Inc. today announced an exclusive distribution agreement in which VU Games will distribute Konami's widespread roster of PC games in the United States and Canada. The publishing and marketing efforts for the games covered by the agreement will continue to be performed by KDEA's Redwood City, CA office.

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. announced today that it has secured the licensing rights to develop videogames based on the internationally acclaimed anime series, "Shaman King" (by Hiroyuki Takei) for the North American and the European regions. The company will publish games based on "Shaman King" starting with one for PS2 and one for GBA. The games are slated for release in North America in summer 2004 and 4Kids Entertainment will be responsible for the licensing program for this title. Konami Corporation announced today that it is moving forward with its plans to deliver mobile phone games to the U.S. market. Konami started providing Frogger, an action game that enjoys enormous popularity in the U.S., to a major U.S. wireless carrier, AT&T Wireless, (headquarters: U.S.A. CEO: John D. Zeglis) for its newly enhanced mobile phone content service, "mMode" in time with its relaunch on November 20, 2003 (U.S. time). mMode is AT&T Wireless' consumer internet service which has more than one million subscribers throughout the U.S. mMode offers its users e-mail, games and other entertainment services on mobile phones.

At the Tokyo Game Show in Japan today, Konami of America Inc., announced that Suikoden IV, the newest installment in the popular role-playing game (RPG) series, will be released in the U.S. for PS2 in Fall 2004. Hailed as one of the greatest RPGs ever made, the series is renowned for its depth of gameplay, immersive storytelling and expansive fantasy world. The Suikoden series first appeared seven years ago on the PlayStation, followed by Suikoden II in 1999. Last year, Konami released the critically acclaimed Suikoden III for PS2.

Konami of America, Inc. today announced that its hit psychological horror videogame series, Silent Hill, will be released worldwide as a major motion picture. Production company Davis Films will produce the feature film adaptation of Konami's popular franchise. Produced by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo, Inc. (KCET), the Silent Hill games thrust players into a nightmarish world where they must unravel twisted storylines and battle grotesque creatures and terrifying monsters.

Hothouse Creations today announces that it has signed a second development deal with international publisher Konami to produce an as yet un-named game for PlayStation 2, PC and X-Box. The deal will see Hothouse further its relationship with Konami, who recently published Casino, Inc. by the Bristol-based developer. The game is scheduled for release in the Summer of 2005, and Hothouse has recruited Pete O'Brien, former Producer at Sega Corporation, to lead the project. Further details about the game will be released in due course.

Konami of America Inc. has inked a comprehensive deal with K-1 USA that will designate Konami the exclusive videogame sponsor of the popular mixed martial arts circuit in North America. Through the agreement, Konami and its upcoming PlayStation 2 videogame, K-1 World Grand Prix, will receive extensive exposure at K-1 USA's marquee competitions including the K-1 USA Elimination (May 2, The Mirage, Las Vegas) and K-1 USA Semi-Finals (August 15, Bellagio Hotel, Las Vegas). K-1 World Grand Prix is scheduled to ship on July 8, 2003.
