Back in 2002 Paradox Entertainment purchased the literary rights to Robert E. Howard's Conan character, and then sold them on to THQ, which has some upcoming titles based on the character. Today
Variety reveals that Paradox also bought the rest of the late writers characters such as Kull, Bran Mak Morn, Solomon Kane and Red Sonya. Paradox hopes to license its new literary properties for film, TV, vidgames, comics, toys and other areas.

Paradox Entertainment announces that they have entered into an agreement with Swiss company Inca Gold GmbH to acquire the Rock Solid Studios Technology, known as RSSTech. Inca Gold recently acquired all the assets in the Swedish Rock Solid Studios AB bankruptcy, including the world leading graphics engine RSSTech. A consortium led by Paradox Entertainment has now entered into an agreement with Inca Gold to develop and commercialise the technology, which may be renamed.

There is no doubt that Conan is one of the greatest character franchises in the world. The line up of partners surely tells the strength of the property. Paradox Entertainment announced today the two-step acquisition of Conan Sales Company holding all the rights to Conan, one of the most successful character franchises in the world. The agreement allows Paradox to acquire 20% of the company with an option to purchase all remaining stock. Effective immediately, the management of CSC will be represented by Paradox Entertainment. Does this mean we'll see some decent Conan games for the PC soon?
