As mentioned earlier today LucasArts would be releasing the v1.04 update for Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, here it is (a nice 9mb big). Also new dedicated servers for linux/win32 are now available. Tecmo Ltd. maker of the best- selling "Dead or Alive'' series of video software, plans to release the latest version of the action game next year. The new game will be a sequel to "Dead or Alive 3,'' the martial arts fighting game released exclusively for Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox game console. Tecmo hasn't decided which console the sequel will be designed for as it is still in early development, President Junji Nakamura said in an interview. "Dead or Alive 3'' is the best-selling Xbox game in Japan and has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide, a level regarded as a blockbuster in the video-game industry. The company supplied "Dead or Alive 2'' for Sony Corp.'s PlayStation 2, and switched to Xbox because of that machine's better graphics.

TDK Mediactive, Inc. a global publisher of interactive entertainment software, and Disney Interactive today announced a worldwide licensing agreement for two popular Disney properties coming to movie theaters. A Disney theme park icon, "Haunted Mansion," will make its way to the big screen in 2003. The theatrical release of "Haunted Mansion" will be supported by TDK Mediactive on most major video game platforms in time for Halloween and the all-important holiday selling season. "Pirates of the Caribbean," the namesake of one of the most popular theme park attractions, will hit theaters as a major motion picture and will debut on major video game platforms, as well. Specific release dates for the movie and the games will be confirmed at a later date.
