Netamin have announced, Ultimate Baseball Online. The game is said to be the first massively-multiplayer online sports title. The beta test starts in the middle of 2002: the first round of testing will most likely start in April and then another round will be in June. Ghost Recon expansion will contain eight new solo missions based in Africa and centered on a future struggle between Ethiopia and Eritrea. The expansion will also feature a new environment - the Eritrean desert - new enemies, and new desert uniforms for the Ghosts. Release is set to March 2002.

GameSpot sits down and talk to Digital Extremes lead designer Pancho Eekels about Unreal Tournament II, "the recently confirmed first-person shooter".

Pancho Eekels: Unreal II is a single-player-focused mission-based game and has lots of story and background, tasks, and events, as well as a bit more action than the original. Unreal Tournament 2 is a sequel to the original multiplayer-focused action-packed game for the PC. Unreal Championship for Xbox is similar to Unreal Tournament 2 in the multiplayer focus and action but incorporates the element of console play into an FPS that many have not been able to do yet.

Activision gave us an update on the 1.1 patch for Castle Wolfenstein. It looks like the patch will be released on Monday and not today as some sites hinted. Here is a snap..

The Return to Castle Wolfenstein 1.1 multiplayer patch that was originally scheduled to be released late this week will be available on Monday. We had a minor issue with the update installer which we have fixed and are now testing. This is a multiplayer only patch (does not affect single player at all), and will be compatible with the original 1.0 version of the game.

Ubi Soft Entertainment today announced the signing of an exclusive European publishing contract with Bethesda Softworks Inc., a ZeniMax Media company. The agreement covers nine games, including several yet-to-be-announced titles and the highly anticipated The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind for PC and Xbox video game system from Microsoft, as well as the award-winning Sea Dogs for PC. Sea Dogs will be released in Q1 2002 and Morrowind will arrive in Spring 2002.
