Krome Studios, known for
Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, PS2/Wii versions of
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and most recently
Blade Kitten, had a good year in 2006. After first acquiring the remainders of
Ratbag Games and
setting up a new studio in Adelaide, it also took over Atari's
Melbourne House that same year. Fast forward to Aug. 2010 and
Krome Studios is in financial trouble and it is
shutting down the Adelaide Office while handing out pink slips in the other. All in vain according to Aussie website

Krome Studios is shutting down with only a a few contractors remaining to finish up some work.
