Effective immediately, the Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) will cease operations. Therefore, all CPL events currently scheduled for 2008 are hereby canceled. The CPL was launched in June 1997 with the mission of promoting and sanctioning video game competitions as a professional sport.

Paradox Interactive has signed a publishing deal with Aussie developer Auran to publish the world's most inclusive and in-depth train simulators as a complete collection, Trainz: The Complete Collection, featuring the full version of everything players need to immerse themselves in the magic of rail.

Mangled Eye Studios has revealed its first project, a Quake III powered FPS Dark Salvation. You take on the role of a young dead woman who has been sucked into the underworld and is now possessed by a deadly object, allowing her to cast magic according to each weapon she yields.
