'Warface' (ALL) Reaches 5 Million Console Players, New Content Update Next Week

Warface: Clutch is an online FPS, a military shooter set in the near future offering a cinematic experience with next gen visuals, AI and physics.

Warface is a fast-paced shooter crammed with cooperative and competitive action, stacks of game modes and a wealth of weapons for players to get their hands on. Gamers can choose to play as Riflemen, Medics, Snipers or Engineers as they work together and attempt to uproot the Blackwood military faction in Co-op play, or choose their side and lock horns with fellow players in versus battles. Success depends on teamwork and selecting the right mix of soldier classes, each with unique loadouts and special abilities.

Along with a collection of competitive game modes, in which players pursue dominance for glory and top rankings, the game features cooperative and narrative driven raid missions. Players enlist with the Warface military faction and join forces with four friends to take down the highly tactical and AI controlled Blackwood enemy forces.

Since the launch of Warface for PS4 and Xbox One this September, the free-to-play first person shooter has obtained 5 million registered console players. In light of this milestone, My.com announced the release of the Cold Peak update for PS4 and release for the Xbox One this November 27th.

“Warface continues to grow in the console market. In the first week after the official release, more than 1,300,000 players from all over the world have started playing the PS version, and now the number of players on both platforms reached more than 5 million,” said Ivan Pobyarzhin, producer on the Warface Franchise. “The team continues to work hard on the development of the project to provide even more Warface to our players.”

Since the launch of the console version, players have spent about 10.3 million hours online, played more than 2.5 million PvP matches missions and successfully completed over 126 thousand narratively drive co-operative special operations. With the inclusion of the new Cold Peak update, player will have even more content to log hours into. The update includes a new PvE co-operative special operation “Cold Peak”, PvP-mode “Domination”, as well as five new maps for the competitive game.

Features in the Cold Peak update include:

  • Special Operation “Cold Peak” - One of the most difficult co-operative missions in Warface, in which players will need impeccable skill, accuracy and team work. The special operation is divided into three acts, within each of which players will have to infiltrate Blackwood guarded facilities in the mountains of snowy Siberia in difficult weather conditions and low visibility.
  • 5 New Maps with Unique Modes – The Cold Peak expansion includes 5 new maps each with its own game mode including Air Base, Factory, Fortress, Residence and more. Take your parties skill to new tests of feats with new terrains to learn, adapt and dominate on.
  • Domination PvP Mode – The long-awaited PvP-mode “Domination” will require both accurate shooting skills and the ability to stay on the move to prevail. The new mode tasks players to capture and defend several key positions on the game map challenging teams to distribute their forces wisely in order to simultaneously cope with the defenses of the existing points and have time to capture new ones.

Key Features:

  • Plant the Bomb:Teamwork is the key to detonation in this mode. One team tries to plant the bomb in the enemy base, whilst the other team tries to defuse it or wipe out the attacking forces. Both teams alternate between sides, whilst only one will achieve planting perfection.
  • Battle Royale:The PvP mode reflects the very essence of Warface. It is a fast-paced and very dynamic experience from the first-person perspective. Armed with melee from the very start, players quickly go through a looting phase, diving straight into battle. There are over 70 different weapon models available in the mode with each action packed game lasting between five and seven minutes.
  • Storm: In this mode, one team is put on the offensive and aims to capture three strategic points in succession. The other team must stand and defend their ground, while the teams switch sides when the timer runs out. On average these games last longer and will appeal to players preferring strategy.
  • Destruction:In this mode, teams achieve victory if they deliver three air strikes on the enemy positions. To call in an airstrike, a team needs to control a key location on the map. If no team members enter the strategic control zone in the first two minutes of the match, the game ends in a defeat for both teams immediately.
  • Exciting PvE missions and raids: At any time players can go on a fast and dynamic mission or test their strength in a full-scale raid - a special operation with several levels of difficulty. Complete tasks in various parts of the world, from the snow-capped Siberian mountains to the hot jungles of Africa, fight with numerous enemies under the control of AI and disrupt the sinister plans of Blackwood corporation!
  • The Arsenal: Warface offers an impressive arsenal to sate the taste of any connoisseur: hundreds of weapons are at available, pick any and outfit it with a range of scopes, grips, flash guards, suppressors and other attachments to get the best performance tailored to each playstyle.

Warface is available for free from the official website or via Steam, as well as PS4 and Xbox One.
