Netflix Actively Looking Into Bringing Streaming Movie Service to Wii/PS3

When Microsoft released its New Xbox Experience Nov of last year one of the new/exclusive features allowed viewers to stream movies and TV episodes from Netflix in HD. Earlier this year a new job listing (for a engineering developing and testing media-rich applications on current-generation gaming consoles) indicated that Netflix won't be exclusive to the Xbox 360 for much longer, which has now been confirmed by CEO Reed Hastings saying that "eventually we want to be on all the game consoles, all the Blu-ray players, all the Internet TVs"

Well here's some food for thought. If you thought this morning's rumor that various parties, including EA and Warner Bros., were interested in buying THQ was unbelievable, then how about the fact that, according to options strategist Frederic Ruffy over at New York based WhatsTrading.com, Microsoft might be interested in acquiring Electronic Arts. Shares for both companies jumped up earlier today when the rumor started spreading, with Reuters claiming "a London-based trader also cited similar talk as making rounds in Europe."
