Activision and Infinity Ward are planning a new offensive with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Game of the Year Edition and the downloadable Variety Map Pack, a series of new multiplayer maps, and while earlier this week indications were that its release would be delayed, Infinity Ward are pushing certification for an on-time release for April 3rd or 4th (early May for PS3).

'XIII' Miniseries to Air on NBC

Back in 2003 Ubisoft released XIII, an Unreal Engine powered cell-shaded stealth/action FPS game based on a Belgian comic book by author Jean Van Hamme. While the game itself was received well by the critics, it did not result in massive sales, and hasn't been heard from since. According to Comingsoon, NBC will air a four hour mini-series based on the comic starring Stephen Dorff and Val Kilmer, currently scheduled for 2009

EA Confirms 'Madden NFL 09' (ALL) Not on PC

When EA announced Madden NFL 09 last week, a slew of platforms were listed but curiously enough it made no mention of a PC version. In updating his blog, EA Sports president Peter Moore confirmed that when Madden NFL 09 launches on August 12 there will be no PC edition due to "very serious business challenges to us in the sports category, particularly because so many of you all are playing your favorite sports games on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii."
