Korean Times is reporting that Korean venture start-up Xtive has developed an inaudible sound sequence, based on subliminal effects, which it claims can prevent obsessive use of online games, thus giving hope to game addicts. Xtive spent about a year to create the sound sequence geared toward addressing the addiction to multiplayer games, a serious social problem in Asia, even resulting in deaths after long playing sessions.
