'Ice Age 2: The Meltdown' (ALL) Coming to Wii

Sierra Entertainment announced today that it is developing Ice Age 2 The Meltdown, based on 20th Century Fox's animated film, for the Nintendo Wii, and will be available at retailers nationwide this holiday season.

'Unreal Tournament 2007' (PS3/PC) Further Delayed

According to German Gamestar magazine, Epic's Jay Wilbur revealed at the Tokyo Game Show that UT 2007 has been further delayed, until Q2/Q3 2007. While Epic never announced an official release date, Sony initially mentioned it was to be a launch title, and while many retailers had it listed for end of the year, a few months ago The Inquirer reported it was postponed until 2007. Specific reasons for the delay were of course not provided, but it is safe to assume the extra development time will be used to polish the game.

Destineer, known for First to Fight and other titles in the Close Combat franchise, is working closely with US Marines to make an enormously compelling video game.

SEGA Denies PS3's MegaDrive/Genesis Backwards Compatibility

A few days ago Sony's Ken Kutaragi's TGS 06 keynote speech revealed that the PS3 would be backwards compatible with 16 bit games on the MegaDrive/Genesis, much like the Nintendo Wii. Oddly enough SEGA Japan has issued a short statement clarifying that such claims are not correct at this point, that the option is merely being considered, and is currently "under examination." Did somebody speak too soon?

Already hinted at a few weeks ago Valve revealed today that it is implementing a dynamic weapon pricing system in Counter-Strike. Prices have stayed the same since its release back in the late 90s and so Valve came up with the idea to gather info on what weapons were bought most, as more people purchase a certain weapon, the price will rise and other weapons will become less expensive.
