Iron Storm is set in 1964, in a world where World War I never ended, and countries have been embroiled in warfare for the past 50 years. The Great War, as it has been dubbed, has no end in sight, and mankind seems to be condemned to eternal warfare, until the inconceivable is discovered. If you are not sure yet wether you want to download the rather large demo, this trailer will give you a great feel for the 1st and 3rd person perspectives in this epic battle. You'll also get a taste of one of your future recon missions, as you get a first look at actual game footage from campaign one of the Western Front Lines.

Gibme (Norwegian site) had a chat with Henning Rokling from Innerloop and asked a few questions regarding the upcoming FPS title. Here is a clip:

GIBME: The graphics in the game are very detailed and very goodlooking judging from the videos and the pictures released prior to the game release. What have you done to the graphics engine since IGI1?

Henning Rokling: We have enhanced the texture quality, our own control over forming of landscapes and we have enhanced our indoor engine. There are various new "trendy" rendering effects aswell.

'Starcraft: Ghost', (recently announced) a mission based tactical console shooter set in the Starcraft universe, developed by Nihilistic Software andco-published by Capcom and Blizzard Entertainment in Japan. IWon.com let us know that Microsoft may launch services in Japan that would allow users to play some Xbox games using mobile phones, as the company seeks out ways to gain market share against its game-console rivals. The U.S. software giant is in talks with Japanese companies about developing games that would be downloaded and played on wireless phones, said Takashi Sensui, Microsoft's Xbox marketing director for Japan.

Electronic Arts today announced that Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 is GOLD. The game will be available in stores October 1 for PS2, NGC and Xbox. The PC version will be available October 21st. A Few Game Delays Announced

It is not only a mad day for gold announcements but also got game delays as S&S Interactive's community manager mentioned on the official EVE: The Second Genesis discussion forums that the new release date for the game is December 10th. The extra time will be used by developers CCP to fine-tune the title (and you still owe us a beta!). Data Becker just let us know that their upcoming 3D RTS game, Highland Warriors (developed by Soft Enterprises), has been delayed until January 2003 due to the need for further balancing of the units in the game.
