Based on a story derived from the most popular and recognised super hero in the world, Superman: The Man of Steel will challenge players to protect Metropolis from super villains Brainiac 13 and Lex Luthor, and a legion of malevolent robots intent on destroying the city and taking over the world.

Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns Artwork

The Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds site is updated with a new concept art gallery for the recent announced "expansion" Clone Campaigns. Expected to release in May on the PC, Clone Campaigns is inspired by the large-scale battles in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, as well as the classic and expanded Star Wars universe.

Ages of Athiria Update

Today the official Ages of Athiria website has been updated with a new newsletter, new concept images, the first race is revealed "called the High Elves" and a interview with Michael Sigler, talking about the game's artwork. Ages of Athiria is a next generation massively multiplayer persistent online world (MMPOW) game, currently under development by Elysian Productions. Bring me there!

No HomeStation For XBox

Microsoft Corp. denied it is building the "HomeStation'', a rumored living room entertainment hub industry watchers have speculated could combine the software giant's Xbox video game console with digital video, music and Internet functions. HomeStation rumors were sparked last September by a report in PC Format magazine that such a device would cross the Xbox with a PC and boast a bigger hard drive, audio and video technology and a wireless connection.

C&C: Renegade MP Demo Patch

Dan Cermak from Westwood tossed up some news in the official forums for the FPS, C&C: Renegade, regarding the release of the patch that will hopefully solve the lag problems. Here is a snip from his posting;

We worked late into the night to get this corrected and expect to have a new demo and a patch up today. Be assured that the problem is not in the network code or in the game, we simply did not set enough limits in reqards to who could host the game. I apologize for any problems or issues this may have caused.

Renegade Demo Fix

Computer and Video Games yesterday tossed up an article that confirms the development of two new Command & Conquer RTS titles. Here is a part from the article:

"We're working on Earth & Beyond, the space-based RPG, and we're also working on another Command & Conquer real-time strategy title in addition to the one that's coming out the recently revealed, next-gen C&C RTS, so we're actually working on two of those right now." Full article here.
