You're Legally Allowed To Drink Now, So We Figured The Best Thing For You Was A Car

by Rainier on Jan. 10, 2011 @ 12:00 a.m. PST | Filed under MOTD

The weekend was quite fun with friends stopping by for a new year's visit, lots of food, an equal amount of relaxing, watching movies (Super Size Me and Easy A), playing some video games and just lounging about.

Quite a bit of alcohol consumed over the past few days, and while we'll be on bread & water for the rest of the week, next weekend our friend Paul is flying in from Wisconsin, whom we haven't seen in quite a few months. He also happens to be a beer fan. Trouble ahead!

Next weekend, we may see Season of the Witch or The Green Hornet, or maybe both. Not quite sure yet.

Just A Bad Joke Without A Punch Line

by Rainier on Jan. 9, 2011 @ 12:00 a.m. PST | Filed under MOTD

We had a few friends drop by last night, so we whipped up some food. A few bottles of wine later, we booted them out the door and the snooze fest started. That pretty much sums up our evening ...

Prior to that, we did some errands, watched Killers (average action/comedy movie with Ashton Kutcher, Tom Selleck, and Katherine Heigl) and bummed around the house for rest of the day — pretty much what we're about to do now.

You're Kind Of Weirded Out, Aren't You, Kid?

by Rainier on Jan. 8, 2011 @ 12:00 a.m. PST | Filed under MOTD

I watched "The Road" in three segments, but I managed to finish it. It wasn't a bad movie by any means, but it lacked much of a story. It's set in postapocalyptic times, and you wonder who and what caused it, but like the book that it's based on, that's never explained. Oh well ....

Made an emergency trip to my least favorite place, the dentist's office, but luckily, he was able to spackle me up and send me on my way. The tooth feels better than it did this morning, and that's definitely a relief!
